At the age of 11 Amir attended the sports academy in Rawalpindi by Bajwa. At the age of 15 he was selected by the former fast bowler Wasim Akram as the fast bowler and he went to a tour of England with Pakistan cricket team and at that time he was one of the leading bowlers of the team. He took 8 wickets in that match and in next matches of Pakistan against England and Sri Lanka, he took 4 wickets. In 2008 Amir made his domestic debut representing National Bank of Pakistan for the Rawalpindi Rams and in this season he took 55 wickets.
Due to strong bowling, Mohammad Amir got the opportunity to made his international cricket debut next year in the Twenty20 World Cup. Next year in ICC World Twenty20 he set a record of 3 wickets as a bowler and 5 wickets as a team.
At his ODI debut against Sri Lanka he took 3 wickets. In September of 2010 Amir was suspended by the International Cricket Council for spot fixing. In February of next year he was banned for five years by the ICC tribunal. After five years in March of 2015 he made his comeback in cricket by playing domestic match. He came back in international cricket in 2016 in the T20I match against New Zealand.
Mohammad Amir also plays for Karachi Kings in PSL. In the final match of Pakistan against India of ICC Champions Trophy 2017 Amir took three wickets of the three strong batsman of India Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan, at the start of the match and became the national hero of Pakistan.
He has won Man of the Match and Man of the Series many times. Amir is married with British Pakistani nationalist Nargis Khan. They got married in September of 2016 in England. Nargis was taking care of Amir’s case in UK where they fall in love. Amir is now residing in Defence, Lahore with his family.
