Zil-e-Huma was a well known singer of Pakistan and daughter of world famous singer Noor Jehan. Noor Jehan brought up Zil-e-Huma in Karachi. Getting inspiration from her mother music and singing became passion of Zil-e-Huma but her mother did not allow her to get training in music when she was young. She got married with a jeweler Aqeel Butt at early age and she has four sons from her marriage. Her son Ahmed Ali Butt is also a well recognized actor and singer of Pakistan. The marriage of Zil-e-Huma could not last longer and she decided to join showbiz field as a singer in early 1990s after her divorce.
Zil-e-Huma got training in music from Ustad Ghulam Mohammed who was also her mother’s music teacher. After that Zil-e-Huma started her music career professionally. She has sung many songs on Pakistan television. She mostly sung the super hit songs of her mother on TV. Zil-e-Huma has also performed live on different events paying tribute to her mother Noor Jehan. Zil-e-Huma died on 16th May of 2014 at the age of 70 in Lahore. She was suffering from kidney disease and diabetes mellitus from last 3 to 4 years and her left leg was also detached due to diabetes.
