Sanam Marvi is a well-known and established sufi and folk singer of Pakistan. After that she debuted in the live music show of Pakistan ‘Coke Studio’ season 4. Since then she has been singing in every season of this show. She performed solo for the first time in a Sufi music festival ‘Jahan-e-Khusrau’ in India. She also performed at ‘Aman Ki Asha’ event of Times of India at the Chowmahalla Palace, Hyderabad, India. Sanam was married with Aftab Ahmed Pharero but after his murder she married Hamid Ali Khan. She is mother of three children.
Sanam Marvi has performed in many live concerts not only in Pakistan but also in London, New York and Paris. She is considered as one of the best performers in folk, ghazal and sufi music. She has also sung OST for many hit TV serials of different channels such as ‘Piya Be Dardi’ of A Plus Entertainment, ‘Haya Kay Rang’ of ARY Zindagi, ‘Bachay Baraye Farokht’ of Urdu 1 etc. She has also won many awards for her contributions in the music industry of Pakistan. She won ‘Best Singer Award’ by Sufism University, ‘Best Singer Light Music – Virsa’ at 17th PTV National Awards and ‘UNESCO Award’ at 9th International Music Festival Festival Sharq Taronalari, Samarqand 2013. After Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Sanam is the second one to win the ‘UNESCO Award’. Sanam has released many music albums including ‘Phenrou Pyaar Vol. 3’, ‘Munhanji Was Main Na Aahi’, ‘Preetum’ etc.
