She started her acting career in 2005 through the hit Bollywood film ‘Taj Mahal: An Eternal Love Story’. Sonya played leading role in this film getting huge praise for her skilled acting. After two years she appeared in another romantic Indian film ‘Khoya Khoya Chand’. In 2010 Sonya appeared in the block buster and most expensive Indian film of the year ‘My Name Is Khan’.
